After another nice sunrise we had breakfast and then went on a bike ride around the Mekong island of Tan Thuan Dong. We had been told we would be cycling on main roads but these are more like concrete paths. We only saw other cyclists, motorcyclists and a few tuk tuk type trucks. It was really nice and most of it was in the shade of the fruit trees.Morning sunset

On our return we had an hour before the boat left so went for a walk in the opposite direction to the route we took with the bikes. We could hear very noisy music coming from a building which appeared to be the local pub! People were singing and dancing. We walked about 1km and saw some large butterflies and some nice houses and lots of plants and fruit trees. The cicadas were suddenly extremely noisy and one of the group recorded them and said they were only 1 decibel below the UK noise limit for wearing earplugs.

Party in the morning
Late afternoon the chef gave a cookery demonstration on how to nake Vietnamese savoury pancakes. They were delicious.
